About This Blog

Critical Care isn’t just the domain of the ICU.  It’s everywere in the hospital.  Especially in the ED.  Currently in the US, ICU patients are being held in ED’s due to bed and nurse shortages.

Pt’s should expect the same care downstairs as they would get upstairs.  The ED nurses education needs to incorperate basic concepts of critical care.

The purpose of this blog is to focus on that concept.
